There are few moments as magical as a perfectly still morning at Loch Arklet in the heart of the Trossachs. On this particular day, I arrived well before sunrise, hoping for calm conditions, and I was rewarded with an utterly motionless loch reflecting the golden hues of dawn.
As the first light touched the hills, the landscape transformed. The warm, earthy tones of the surrounding slopes were set alight by the rising sun, contrasting beautifully against the crisp, cool sky.
