It is always nice to find new subjects to photograph in such over-photographed location. It is surprising what low tides can reveal. It is also surprising to find out that now there is a bar that prevents vehicles entering the Stokksnes area unless you pay 800 ISK per person. Nevertheless, the area is a real joy to photograph under the early morning light.

As soon as I arrived I was surprised to come face to face with a glorious display of colour in the sky. I had to stop the car and photograph the reflections on the shallow water on the sand. Later on the sky changed, the colour started retreating but the sky kept all the drama that suits a landscape such as this of Stokksnes.
